Numerology Compatibility Calculator: Two Birth Dates Compared
Enter two dates of birth, with names if you like. The calculator compares both Moolanks and Bhagyanks through the friendly and opposing numbers table and describes the match without drama.
Guide
What this calculator does
The compatibility calculator compares two people through their birth numbers. It finds each person's Moolank (from the day) and Bhagyank (from the full date), checks each pair in the friendly, neutral and opposing table, and summarises the result as a match level with a plain description. Names are optional and only add a comparison row.
How is compatibility calculated?
- Find both Moolanks and both Bhagyanks.
- Look up Moolank A against Moolank B in the table, and B against A. Friendly scores 2, neutral 1, opposing 0; the two directions are averaged.
- Do the same for the two Bhagyanks.
- Add the two scores (0 to 4) and map them to a level.
| Score | Level |
|---|---|
| 3.5 to 4 | Naturally in tune |
| 2.5 to 3 | Supportive |
| 1.5 to 2 | Balanced |
| 0 to 1 | Needs understanding |
Because each pair is averaged, scores move in steps of 0.5.
Worked example
Person 1 born 1 January 2001: Moolank 1, Bhagyank 1+1+2+0+0+1 = 5. Person 2 born 9 September 1999: Moolank 9, Bhagyank 9+9+1+9+9+9 = 46, which reduces to 1.
- Moolank 1 and 9: friendly both ways, score 2
- Bhagyank 5 and 1: friendly both ways, score 2
- Total 4 of 4: Naturally in tune
A second example, with a one-way pair
Anita, born 4 June 1992: Moolank 4, Bhagyank 0+4+0+6+1+9+9+2 = 31 → 4. Vikram, born 23 May 1990: Moolank 2 + 3 = 5, Bhagyank 2+3+0+5+1+9+9+0 = 29 → 11 → 2.
- Moolank 4 and 5: the 4 row lists 5 as friendly (2), but the 5 row leaves 4 neutral (1). Average 1.5.
- Bhagyank 4 and 2: opposing from both rows (0 and 0). Score 0.
- Total 1.5 of 4: Balanced.
With both names entered, Anita is 12 → 3 and Vikram is 16 → 7 in Chaldean, neutral both ways. That row appears on the card but the level stays Balanced. Vikram's Bhagyank passes through 11 on the way down; this tool always uses the single digit, 2. The lesson on master numbers explains when 11 is kept elsewhere.
The friendly and opposing numbers
| Number | Friendly | Opposing |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 9 | 8 |
| 2 | 1, 3, 5 | 4, 7, 8 |
| 3 | 1, 2, 3, 5, 9 | 6 |
| 4 | 1, 5, 6, 7 | 2, 4, 8 |
| 5 | 1, 2, 3, 5, 6 | none |
| 6 | 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 | 3 |
| 7 | 1, 4, 5, 6 | 8 |
| 8 | 3, 5, 6 | 1, 8, 9 |
| 9 | 1, 2, 3, 5 | 8 |
Numbers not listed in either column are neutral. Each row is read from that number's point of view, so a pair can differ by direction: 2 opposes 7 while 7 is neutral to 2, and 8 is friendly to 3 while 3 is neutral to 8. Two people with the same number are not automatically in tune either: 4 with 4 and 8 with 8 are opposing, and 2 with 2 is neutral.
How to read your result
- The headline. "Your match" and the level, such as Balanced.
- The score meter. A bar and "1.5 of 4", the sum of the two pair scores.
- The description. One or two sentences from the level, written to describe rather than predict.
- The facts. Each person's Moolank and Bhagyank, under their name or as Person 1 and Person 2.
- The pair rows. "Moolank 4 and 5" and "Bhagyank 4 and 2", each with a badge: Friendly, Neutral or Opposing. When the two directions differ, two badges appear, first person 1's view, then person 2's. The name-number row appears only when both names are given.
A high score means the two sets of numbers share a style; a low score means they differ, which can be friction or a useful balance. Notice which pair is the odd one out and use it as a conversation, not a conclusion. Each number page, such as number 4, describes what that number tends to value.
Common mistakes
- Reading only one row. Relations are not always mutual, and the tool averages both directions.
- Treating the level as a verdict. It summarises a table, not two people.
- Expecting names to lift the score. They are shown for interest only.
- Comparing against another site's table. Schools differ on pairs such as 2 and 7, 4 and 4, and 8 and 1, so totals elsewhere may not match.
