What is Vedic astrology?
Jyotish reads the sky at the moment of birth: the Moon's sign and star, the sign rising in the east, and the nine grahas in their houses. It uses the sidereal zodiac, which this site computes with the Lahiri ayanamsa from the same planetary positions NASA publishes. Every reading here is a description, not a prediction.

The nine grahas in Vedic astrology
The nine grahas are the actors of a birth chart: the seven visible planets from the Sun to Saturn, and Rahu and Ketu, the Moon's nodes. Each page goes through one graha in depth: what it signifies, where it is strong or weak, how it reads in each house, and what its mahadasha brings.
The twelve rashis in Vedic astrology
The twelve rashis divide the sidereal zodiac into signs of 30 degrees, each with its own element, quality and ruling graha. Each page goes through one sign in depth: as a Moon sign, as a lagna, the nakshatras inside it and how it matches with the others.
